Watermelon-Smoothie on Ice
This watermelon-smoothie on ice is the perfect way to refresh yourself during summer while also providing your body with tons of vitamins (C, A and B6), antioxidants and a lot of good nutrients!
Ingredients
- Watermelon - about 600g
- Ice cubes - 4
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
- Optional Ingredients:
- Hemp seed powder - 1 tsp
- Mint - 5-6 leafs
- Alternative to honey:
- Maple syrup - 1 tbsp
Instructions
- Peel the watermelon and remove the seeds.
- Cut it into slices and blend it in a mixing bowl or food processor. Keep 2 melon slices for decoration!
- Put ice cubes into a freeze bag and hit it with a hard object like a rolling pin to make some crushed ice.
- In a blender, mix the crushed ice, lemon juice, hemp seed powder (optional) and honey or maple syrup with the melon mix well until you have got a nice homogenous fluid.
- Pour the smoothie into glasses, garnish with melon slices and some fresh mint. Serve and enjoy! 🙂
Hint: Blending a few mint leafs into the smoothie makes it even more refreshing!
