Orange-Onion-Salad
This Orange-Onion-Salad makes a perfect starter or side-dish, tastes super refreshing and takes just 10-15 minutes to prepare!
And if the orange-onion-mix isn't exciting enough for you, you can easily add some sweet potatoes and olives. The addition of sweet potatoes and olives fits the fruity onion mix perfectly and transforms it into a worthy main dish!
Ingredients
- Oranges - 5
- red Onions - 2 (big ones)
- Fresh coriander green - 3 branches
- Sesame oil - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Optional Ingredients:
- Sweet potatoes - 1
- black Olives - 100g
Instructions
- Peel 4 oranges and remove the white parts of the skin.
- Cut these peeled oranges into slices and juice the others.
- Peel and cut the onions into slices. Wash the fresh coriander, shake dry and chop.
- In a bowl, mix the orange slices, onion slices and chopped coriander. Season with salt, pepper and coriander powder.
- Mix sesame oil with orange juice and add it to the bowl.
- Place in freezer until served.
Optional: Cut oranges and onions into cubes, cook sweet potato until tender, cut into cubes and add to the salad together with some black olives.
